An ode to sprinkled, animal-shaped delights
Oh, Pink and White*
Pink and White
I know you did not give up
without a fight
But still I miss you
Your creamy bites
The way joy came
with your pink and white
Your little spinkles
how they crunched
My little mouth
with glee it munched
You were supposed to be animals
like maybe a giraffe
honestly, you were kinda lumpy
but I did not laugh
I knew in my heart
that this was your end
You were made to be eaten
My pink and white friends
So now with heavy heart
I bid you adieu
I only can pray
that some other baker bakes you
But just in case its over
and you really are through
I’m headed to Ralphs
to stock up on you
*Written with a heavy heart after hearing the terrible news that Mother’s cookies is history. You will be missed.
