Because Charles Dickens Trumps Everything
I love books, especially classic ones. I also love showing off my knowledge. Just kidding. Sorta. 😉
Anyways, I stole this from She Likes Purple, and it looked kinda fun. Seeing as my blog topics lately have been pure procrastination, I’ll just continue the trend with yet another time-filler. Check back in a week for my answers to “Whose your celebrity crush?” and “Are you a morning or evening person?” because we didn’t send around enough e-mail surveys in high school *cough* college.
Key
1) Bold the books you have already read
2) Italicize the books you intend to read
3) I don’t plan to italicize, because I probably want to read all of these, and if I don’t, I should.

A couple of notes…. this is a great list, I’m sure, but there are a few quality reads that didn’t even get a nod. (Also, it seems to be all fiction… except the Bible as a sort of random inclusion…) How about some Robinson Crusoe, Treasure Island, Black Beauty, Heidi, The Island of the Blue Dolphins, something by C.S Lewis other than a repeat (see #33 and #36), or maybe not including freaking Mitch Albom? Anyways. But, despite all that, according to the Big Read, the average American has only read six of the following hundred, which is sort of sad no matter what you think of this list.
