Do I look like I shop at Anthropologie?
I really, sincerely, fervently hope so.
I very rarely go there, because A) I can’t afford it, and B) I seldom frequent the kinds of shopping meccas that hold Anthros anymore, and C) even if I did, my self-control is at such abysmal levels lately that I might just buy out the whole store and worry about consequences later.
Which brings me to this weekend. I went by Anthro with a few spare moments one afternoon, with the excuse of going by to be inspired by their “Rustic City” motif that my classy friend Holli had told me about. Once I got in, I was wooed by the hay bales in the corners and the sweet-smelling soaps and the awesome blend of tomboy and ruffled that every employee wears – which, consequently, makes me want to shamelessly beg them to be my fashion coach for life.
I put a couple of things on Hold, hoping that maybe more sales would happen? An employee discount would fall from the sky? Anthro would hire me for a day? But to no avail. I decided to just do it.
So I went back, and I bought these. And this. Except my skirt’s a teensy bit different, I couldn’t find exactly the one that captured my heart.
So, again I ask – Do I look like I shop at Anthro? Because that would be pretty cool.
