Gussy Sews’ Inspiration Workshop: FALL
I’ve officially fallen for fall, y’all. I love cozy sweaters, I love the Pumpkin Spice lattes, I love the drizzly gray mornings and the tall boots and the feeling of new beginnings and the resurrection of the Crock-Pot dinner.
Fall feels like the perfect time to start a new project, bake something homemade or save up for a trench coat. (Maybe the last one is just me?) Fall makes me re-evaluate, as I did as a student, making sure that my class schedule and priorities were all lined up and my four-year life course was on the right track. Now I’m less likely to take a step back and agonize over my choices, but it’s good to do so now and then, with sharpened pencils in hand and dreams percolating just below the surface.
Speaking of chasing dreams, there is nothing better for the wrangling of one’s future than a beautiful ensemble like this, amirite?

While I wrangle my dreams, I would like to do so in a beautifully autumnal home, and so I will be making this for my door.

And although you all know my long-standing love affair with my crock-pot, I could probably be convinced to make Boeuf Bourguignon in this pretty little number:

And finally, a trench-coat… because good lordy I love me a good trench coat, and this one is downright fabulous.
