Before I published my last post, I was worried about it. I’d heard horror stories of hurtful comments or misunderstandings related to adoption, and I’d let those whispers become a full-fledged fear instead of a powerless side note.

But you guys. You were kind, generous, joyful, thoughtful and oh-so-supportive. You breathed life, you gave hope, you lifted us up and you made us brave.

I am not always so generous with my support and love. I do not always rejoice with others when I should or share my secrets when I ought to, but you are teaching me to embrace the real grit of life and lean into the next step. Thanks again for being so joyful with us, and I hope to be as good at sharing and giving as you all are, someday.

Tomorrow is the home study visit, and we are thrilled/excited/scared/nervous/ahhhhhhhhhh! Thanks again for praying with us – your support means so so much. We’ll share more as soon as we can!
