Reverb10 – Because I like bandwagons, especially those that make me write stuff.
Katie inspired me, as she often does, to jump aboard a creative bandwagon. Here’s the first two days, more to come, (until I get busy ala NaNoWriMo) (sorry, pessimism/realism is one of my many mental afflictions) (but I also love me some writing prompts) (so I’m trying to be optimistic despite myself) (over and out).
December 1 – One Word
Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today; what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you? (Gwen Bell)
2010 was about Growth… growth in my marriage, my business, and my spiritual life – learning just how bratty I can be and growing into the person I wish I was. I want 2011 to be about Contentment, managing challenges with grace and all the good things that come with gratitude.
December 2
What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing – and can you eliminate it? (Leo Babauta)
Haha. Life gets in the way quite often and it’s very irritating. But, just when I feel most irritated with many things to say and no time to say them, I recall that if I had time on my hands I would very likely have nothing of interest to say. This is what’s called a Catch-22, because when you catch 22 fish you are very excited, until you realize that you have to clean them and touch them and they are probably slimy.
