What I’m Thankful For; A list
Yesterday we were challenged by our pastor to enter into a crazy holiday season by saying “thank you”, in an effort to rescue our hearts from thoughtless consumerism or discontent. So I’m starting today with a list of all the things I’m grateful for, and will do one at least once a week until the new year, trying not to repeat any “thank yous”. I have high hopes that this will keep me centered and contented and away from silly consumerism.
Today, I’m thankful for:
- Good-bye kisses from my hubby before work
- Fun date nights (we went out to a swanky steakhouse last night on a Groupon, so tasty!)
- Speaking of which, my thrifty heart is very thankful for Groupons and coupons
- Rain (we’ve had lots lately and I love it!)
- Tickets to Texas, thanks to my generous in-laws (Yay Thanksgiving family time!)
- A fun day with my mom last week, drinking eggnog lattes and getting caught up on the gossip
- Spotify
- Emails from my girls (you know who you are)
- Marcel the Shell with Shoes on
Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
